Steph Curry’s layup with 0.2 seconds left won the game for the Warriors. But they had to wait a while for the review.

In a high-scoring game on a bizarrely-colored court in Oklahoma City, Curry’s layup gave the Warriors a 141-139 victory. But the basket was was initially waved off for basket interference because Draymond Green touched the rim as Curry’s shot went in.

However, the officials ruled that before Green’s hand touched the rim, the Thunder’s Josh Giddey grabbed the net. That superseded Green’s basket interference, meaning Curry’s basket counted.
The game brought the Warriors’ record to 5-1, and their record in West Group C of the in-season tournament to 1-0. The tournament was the reason for OKC’s strange, special court, where a long stripe down the middle of the court was the same color as the Thunder’s uniforms.

Golden State overcame the Thunder’s camouflage court and rookie Chet Holmgren’s career-high 24 points to eke out the victory. Holmgren did it on just nine shots and after the game Green acknowledged, “Chet’s a problem.”

But ultimately, Steph Curry is a bigger problem. He scored 30 points, including five three-pointers. Curry also had seven assists, including a no-look alley-oop pass from 30 feet to Gary Payton II. Which proves Curry can do damage from beyond the arc in multiple ways.

It was a tough ending for Giddey, who had 14 of his 18 points in the final quarter. But it was a strong game for the Thunder, playing without All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. You could say the victory was right at their fingertips.
