USC football safety Calen Bullock took part in the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday. As one of eight USC Trojans invited to the NFL combine this season, Bullock's name has flown under the radar in comparison to other Trojans like Caleb Williams and Brenden Rice.
However, Bullock stood out thanks to his performance. Bullock recorded a 4.48 40-yard dash time on his first attempt, via the NFL. On his second attempt, he followed it up with a 4.54. His initial attempt was the seventh-fastest time among the 19 safeties who ran at the combine.

Along with his 40-yard dash, Bullock tied for first with his 10-yard split, which was just 1.51 seconds.
The safety from Pasadena, California is coming off a career-best 61 total tackles in his final season at USC. He also added two interceptions and seven pass break ups. During his junior season, Bullock also had a strong campaign, putting up five interceptions. He also earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors for his junior season.
At just 20 years old, whoever gets Bullock will be getting a talented, young player to contribute to their defense. Though the Trojans defense struggled mightily during Bullock's tenure with the team, Bullock was a bright spot. He likely will be a mid-late round draft pick, but could do well in the NFL if paired with the right defensive scheme.
